Week ?

We moved home last Saturday and it’s been a busy week.  Lots of Christmas shopping and of course Christmas Day, which was lovely.  We have access to the house.

The concrete pad was poured.  Yay!!!!!

We’ve finally taken the old sink out of the kitchen

Behind it was pretty grim but Mr F has been very busy with the heat gun stripping back the layers of paint.

 Here he is working on Christmas morning.  No rest for the wicked!!!!

The colour looks different in the photos.  In real life the cupboards are more of a green blue.  The picture above shows the colour better.

My next smaller project is to paint the legs of the bench seat.  My current project is stripping back the many layers of paint from the front porch.  Tedious and smelly work.

Look what he’s dragged home this time!

I thought Mr F was safely on his way to work when suddenly he appeared back in the house filthy!!. His work clothes were covered in dirt and he was wet through. Despite the rain and the clock ticking, he saw this sitting out on the kerb at the front of someones  house waiting for the ‘kerbside collection’ pick up..

Somehow he managed to drag it back to his car and get it home. He was so happy with his find and I think it’s great too. It looks like it’s an old ‘meat safe’ and will make a great replacement for the  Ikea tv cabinet in the boys bedroom.

Now what colour should we paint it??
