Kangaroos and Kookaburras.

I know Kangaroos and Kookaburras don’t have a lot to do with house renovating but I saw these cuties today when I was at Daisy Hill (South Brisbane) for work.  I apologise for the quality of the photos in advance.

The quality of this photo is terrible but I couldn’t resist adding it. Boing!!!

A nice suprise after a long day at work.

What a wonderful surprise to find these waiting for me when I arrived home from work yesterday afternoon.  I’ve had a quick look but I’ll sit down with a ‘cuppa’ over the weekend sometime and have a good read.

I did something kind of odd last night that I want to share.  I got into bed and started feeling around for the switch for the electric blanket down the side of the mattress.  The thing is … we haven’t had an electric blanket on the bed EVER and its still  way too hot here to even think about using one.  I’m  thinking  I was just incredibly tired.  Either that or I’m  starting to lose my marbles.

Bring on the weekend!!! (of housework, grocery shopping, sanding and painting.. oh and parenting)

.

Look what he’s dragged home this time!

I thought Mr F was safely on his way to work when suddenly he appeared back in the house filthy!!. His work clothes were covered in dirt and he was wet through. Despite the rain and the clock ticking, he saw this sitting out on the kerb at the front of someones  house waiting for the ‘kerbside collection’ pick up..

Somehow he managed to drag it back to his car and get it home. He was so happy with his find and I think it’s great too. It looks like it’s an old ‘meat safe’ and will make a great replacement for the  Ikea tv cabinet in the boys bedroom.

Now what colour should we paint it??
