Tiles for the porch.

Serious bargain of the year!

Ok so while looking for an alternative to encaustic tiles Fred found some for sale on Gumtree for $20 a sqm!!!

Now I know that I said in my last post that we’d not been too happy with the encaustic tiles in the upstairs bathroom.  But anyone who knows how much encaustic tiles are per square metre knows that for $20 a sqm is a seriously good bargain.

    • Absolutely!
We actually used ours a few weeks ago to give the bathroom tiles a good clean. Quite a task in itself to get the house up through the second floor bathroom window. But well worth the effort.

    • Hello Rosietta. We love the tiles too. It will be interesting to watch how they weather too. This area gets very hot in the Summer. They’ll probably fade a bit. Gives the house character I think.

  1. Simple and neat bathroom, does it have enough storage space. I like the grey walls. Nice to have a functional bathroom at last I guess after that 4 weeks of wait for the toilet.

I have a new book on my Kindle. And a fresh bottle of vodka. I can come and try out your new porch. Just saying. I’m available. *grin*

    Enjoy. It looks #FabWow!

i have waited for years to finish our front verandah and your tiles are my inspiration. The artisan range (winchester) is similar but the colour is the pattern where yours is white which looks amazing. what sort of tiles do i search for please

    • Hello there

Thankyou for getting in touch with me. These tiles are Encaustic, they’ve been laid for over a year now and survived their first Australian summer! They’ve not faded at all.
